Graduate General Education Requirements (For Students Enrolling from the 111th Academic Year Onwards)

According to the 1st Curriculum Committee meeting of the 110th Academic Year: "Doctoral and Master’s students enrolling from the 111th Academic Year (2022) onwards must complete the Graduate General Education requirements before graduation. This includes at least 6 hours of Academic Ethics, and at least 1 hour each for Chinese/English Writing Ability and Communication Skills.".

Note for students enrolling from the 111th Academic Year:

I. Academic Ethics (At least 6 hours):

  1. Participation and Certification: The Center for Academic Ethics and Research Integrity provides free online courses for faculty and students. These courses can be used to apply for the academic ethics education hours required by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC).

  2. Registration: After completing the course and obtaining the certificate, please register the certificate on the university's "Academic Ethics Education Hours Registration Platform" for record-keeping.

  3. Inquiries: For questions regarding hour certification, please contact the Center for Academic Ethics and Research Integrity (Ext. 50450 / 50452).

II. Chinese and English Writing Ability (At least 1 hour): This requirement is incorporated into the course [Issues in Psychological Science]. No additional course enrollment is required. Students must attend English lectures and submit reports in English during the course.

III. Communication and Expression Skills (At least 1 hour): This requirement is incorporated into the courses [Teaching Practicum (I) & (II)].

Note: During the graduation review, please submit proof of at least 6 hours of Academic Ethics training to the Department Office for verification.
